   The reason calling MAGA weirdos weird works is Wilhoit's law:
   “Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.”
   If you tell them they're the out-group their entire worldview collapses and they imagine what it would be like if they were on receiving end of habitual cruelty.

     @MylesRyden @KevinMarks Creepy and weirdo work well where "deplorables" didn't.

     It was a "big word" which – while accurate and precise – allowed their cadre to immediately dismiss it with their inherent anti-intellectualism.

     Interesting to think what other accurate, but common, words are suitable here - choices must focus on behaviour rather than identity though

     I know my voice is not much here, but I will continue to argue in favor of "creeps" or "creepy."

     Weird is just out of the mainstream. But these a-holes want to spy on you to make sure of what exactly you have in your pants or to see exactly what you are doing in your bedroom, so they can punish you for it.

     That's creepy. I think that would resonate with women voters than "weird." And trust me, many, many people think that an old man who talks and behaves like #TFG is creepy. He is totally the guy you avoid at the company picnic if you are female. Vance too.
