   Hi friends! I'd like to mention something that may not be apparent to newer fediverse members: the reporting system here is actually useful! Unlike on larger / commercial platforms, all reports go directly to your local instance staff. How those reports are handled will vary from instance-to-instance, but you can rest assured that someone did actually see them.
   
   On transfem.social, all reports are carefully considered. When we moderate a post or user, it's often in direct response to an abuse report. When we decline to take action, it's after a full review and general staff consensus. Reports are useful even when the target is unclear or the issue is complicated, as they become a part of our records and notes to guide future action. So please don't be afraid to report rule-breaking content - there's no algorithm to penalize you, and no filter to waste your effort.

     @BeAware@social.beaware.live yeah that's frustrating, but I still prefer it over not getting reports at all tbh. Although, one of our own admins got reported for calling out a transphobe, and another instance forwarded the report back to us :neofox_laugh:
