   This is pure cartel behavior: Reddit and Google have cut a deal that will freeze out all other search engines from indexing Reddit, where volunteers do essentially all the work.

   This should not be legal.

   It is VITAL to replace Reddit, and it will take a global village to do it. If we don't, the cartel wins.

   And Google should be broken up by Congress, if the antitrust people won't try.

     @BeAware@social.beaware.live @dangillmor@mastodon.social it’s worse though. As each person from Reddit goes off to some other medium, we lost the group knowledge if we don’t follow all the other sites or scrape them or rss etc. It’s becoming too time consuming to stay in the know.

     @BeAware @dangillmor @SpaceLifeForm People still use reddit knowing it's spez is a pedophile. His former boss at Conde Nasty was crowing recently how she would do anything to get ahead including cold calling companies to work for nothing. Fine people all round.
