I dunno, I for one am quite looking forward to the amount of time I spend talking about Joe Biden going down to basically zero.
Don't have parasocial relationships with famous people; especially politicians. The job itself is about exercising power on behalf of the ruling class - these are not your friends, unless you're in the ruling class and like wtf are you reading MY posts then?

@futurebird I'm not trying to steal your hope; but I've spent a lot of my life studying power systems and I gotta say, I just... I don't think we agree.
Also parasocial relationships with powerful people are just bad in general. Whether its to get you to cast a vote or buy a new pair of sneakers, the energy only goes one way and it isn't to you.
Dunno what else to tell you, I'm an anarchist for a reason. Because I believe these things and they are my studied opinion.

Electoral politics is a terrible place to look for "good news" in the USA. It's a bad place to look for "moments of leadership" but it might be a mistake to say they never exist?
Or I might just be very tired, worn down. In need to thinking about something else less massive and beyond my immediate influence.

Even a guy like Bernie Sanders is pretty much in the game to "alter the deal" to make it less bad.
There is nobody running for office anywhere, who is talking about changing fundamental power structures to put people in charge, at least not in America.
So I dunno what to say? They work for the capitalist class; and that ain't me. It's prolly not you either

@futurebird Joe Biden wouldn't have stepped down without the rest of the people who work for capitalists turning on him; the polls have been dogshit for months if not years. It wasn't concern for US that made him step down.
Pretend is not a strategy.

I would say stepping down is nearly always good leadership.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just think we see the world in very different ways.
