     Sorry, but your hope is my dread, and I was original KHive.
     Please don't gloat because Biden was rawdogged out. You and nobody else knows if this will work better. It's a roll of the dice.
     I hope for all of our sakes that mega-donors were right to extort the party into betraying our elected nominee.

     FWIW, when the megadonors worked to shove Biden out, I really, really don’t think Harris was what they had in mind. Biden-Harris campaign had this handoff lined up. I don’t know whether that was the work of hours or weeks, but there’s no way this sudden convergence on Harris happen spontaneously without prep. Megadonors just got played.

     They didn't understand the process. Biden's elected delegates were (and are) the only people able to pick the nominee.
     Maybe one of these brave senators could have explained it to them like they were toddlers.

     I have enough experience explaining technical details of complex processes to wealthy executive types to know that sometimes they trust you and listen, and sometimes they’re too dunderheaded to hear anything from anyone, and neither the quality of the explanation nor quality of the explainer is the variable that makes the difference.

     Who knows. Some mushy centrist who would reverse Biden’s program getting the IRS to go after ultra-wealthy tax cheats, I suppose.

     Agree that there was obviously strategy planning going on for this. Who do you think "megadonors" wanted as a candidate, then?
