   I don't understand why "Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan" has become a normie tier meme. The song isn't even that catchy. Also I doubt 99% of these people are even watching the anime.

     @splitshockvirus@mstdn.starnix.network I think the thing with TikTok is that every meme from there is extremely forced and incredibly vapid. Like I know the internet was already incredibly vapid in general, but this is shit taken up to 11.

     @SuperDicq I haven't seen any tick tock of this anime but I've seen enough of it on fedi and then in my recommendations from vt*bers being covered. 5 second repeatable phase, spam it as much as possible, it's shhhhlop.

     Doesn't even matter if the anime is good or not I hate seeing psylop being shoved in my face, it has the opposite effect on me.

     I think it's the studio's marketing department they just figured out something that worked. People study this phenomenon and try to replicate it. Just like how the industry spammed isekai, just like how SoL became a popular genre after K-on!

     @splitshockvirus@mstdn.starnix.network I personally don't like hating on SoL or isekai genres just because they are overdone.
     
     I mean sure most of the entries into this genre are forgettable slop, but there's a few shows that really do them well.
