     Why is it a money quote? Well, please do recall when all of us were like "if folks like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema are actively sabotaging your agenda, the President should go after them with furious hellfire" and we got told "we don't DO that, haven't you watched that one West Wing episode? That would make us like DRUMPF!"

     So, protecting voting rights, packing the court, stopping fascists = not important enough to use the bully pulpit, but protecting Biden's nomination is.

That’s not my opinion – it’s theirs. “I wish I was more brave,” NBC News quoted one anonymous Democratic state party chair as saying. “I would be crucified by them if I spoke out of line.” This person spoke on the condition of anonymity, according to NBC, “because they fear retaliation from the president’s camp”.

     How quickly the Democratic Party has forgotten that before they had Manchin and Sinema, Biden could be relied upon to fuck things up for everyone.

     @AnarchoNinaWrites I made the mistake of commenting recently on a popular left/liberal blog that Biden, frankly, looks terrible — he is clearly struggling, even compared to 2020 — and got so much intense, personal, targeted abuse ("you want Trump back" "STFU, DINO" "you're an idiot") that I ended up deleting my Disqus account.

     As that great Marxist (Chico) said, "Who you gonna believe? Me or your own two eyes?"
