   For no particular reason, I would like to remind Americans to register to vote, and make sure you follow through in November. The fascists are a minority, but they vote in droves.

     @Sirablopp Those issues are on a state-by-state level, the issues are mostly in states that have a conservative majority, especially weak ones.

     @ryanc still so weird to hear you folks have to register for that, and some have to fight tooth and nail to get past all the methods of voter suppression.
     Meanwhile here in Germany people just automatically get a letter. (And yet some of these folks say "I wanted to go vote, but it's raining outside, so I decided to stay home." :blob_facepalm: )

     @ryanc And to those Americans talking about just moving to another country… a reminder of how that went for the Spaniards who escaped Franco and soon after found themselves in Nazi occupied France, or the Eastern Europeans who fled Hitler and ended up prosecuted by Stalin.

     These waves don’t stop at the border.
