    Trump was on July 9 in Miami and spewed out the following gibberish:

    1. He again praised the fictional cannibal named Hannibal Lecter.
    2. He said insurrectionists are “hostages unfairly imprisoned” and “the Supreme Court ruled they should be out soon.”
    3. He said he “didn’t know what NATO was” before he took office.
    4. He praised the author of Project 2025 and said he’d be back in a future administration.
    5. He complained the audience got “water spots” and he didn’t get a “water spot.” 1/2

      Glad I’m not the only one who remembers the shit show of 1968
      How can anyone think that a convention free for all is a good idea?

      @TonyStark @CivilityFan @mentallyalex I hope Biden stays. He’s got a good Cabinet, he’s done great work, & most of his foreign policies are doing well. The last time a President chose to not have a second term, the Party didn’t win the election - we cannot afford for that to happen. Lastly, I don’t think the Republicans and our foreign enemies would work so hard if they weren’t worried about Biden winning again.

      @TonyStark
      I’m voting for anyone who can beat #TheFelonyGuy, I will vote for Biden if he’s on the ticket, but after seeing his performance in the debate and his team try to recover from that debacle, I hope he will decide that America would be better served by him stepping down and supporting VP Harris.
      It maybe was one bad night, but the follow up has been confused and gas lighting mixed in with ego and missteps. He is a great man, has done great things, but if he stays in he will erase that record and replace it with one that will forever leave him soiled with the end of democracy. Instead of clinging to power, he should support VP Harris.

      @mentallyalex Most people I talk to see the debate thing as something that happened but they’re not basing their final vote on it.

      Maybe the NYT or any other national news organization can ask me for a name.

      It is so frustrating how the media has made this such a problem.

      6. He said “we” have nuclear subs in Cuba when discussing Russia, such that “we” meant Russia or he gave away U.S. nuclear secrets or he was making it up. Who knows?
      7. He challenged Joe Biden to golf for ratings.
      8. He said “Yes oh yes and quickly says President Trump,” when reading the teleprompter.
      9. He said 109% of all net job creation over the last year has gone to migrants.

      I’ll take the older, sane guy with a stutter, thanks.

      Maybe big media can spare a few minutes for it, though 2/2

      Have you seen this analysis I just ran across?

      “What we see is that there is some churn –– maybe 10 percent or so of people change what they answer –– but that the net result is not a movement away from Biden,” Lazer says. “If anything, it seems that Biden is holding on to his people somewhat better than Trump.”

        Biden's poor debate performance had almost no impact on voter preference, new report says
        A new report shows that despite Biden’s debate performance – poor as it may have been – voter preferences haven't been impacted.

      @CivilityFan @Tharpa @mentallyalex Harris doesn’t win polls, either. People are basing this notion on polls. It’s ludicrous.

      @TonyStark @CivilityFan @mentallyalex We can all have our cake and eat it too if we reelect Biden, because he will probably die, and then we'll have Predident Kamala. It's better than candidate Kamala, and President Trump.

      @Tharpa
      Reelecting him is the hard part in your post, I just don’t see it happening at this point, and he has been a great President. He should hand the baton off to VP Harris and enjoy many years of retirement, knowing he saved democracy. During the debate, he screwed up. One bad episode. The follow-up to remedy the debate performance was poorly executed, and ineffective. The polls haven’t moved much because most folks have decided they are for or against #TheFelonyGuy but with Harris, I believe we will win overwhelmingly. People want a choice that isn’t between two old men and those turned off by a women of color are MAGAts, anyway. No excuse for Biden if the Republicans beat him, I don’t care if he thinks it’s okay to lose as long as he gives it his all, the rest of us matter, too.

      @CivilityFan @mentallyalex The problem is, and I’ve already made many posts about this although I don’t expect everyone to read them all, is that it won’t matter if he does.

      They don’t treat Harris any different except they swap in something else. They ran countless “is Hillary near death?” pieces in 2016.

      Lots of voters don’t feel like you do so what about them?

      It’s not all easy or likely to be successful. Although I fully am behind a President Harris.
