  I looked that up and saw the "ldloc.0" instruction and though "that doesn't look too bad" until I read down to this part; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Intermediate_Language?useskin=monobook#Object-oriented_concepts

    Common Intermediate Language (CIL), formerly called Microsoft Intermediate Language (MSIL) or Intermediate Language (IL), is the intermediate language binary instruction set defined within the Common Language Infrastructure (CLI) specification. CIL instructions are executed by a CIL-compatible runtime environment such as the Common Language Runtime. Languages which target the CLI compile to CIL. CIL is object-oriented, stack-based bytecode.   @Suiseiseki they kind of did with C# CIL, its technically a VM with a virtual instruction set and they even wrote an OS kernel for it
