Well, I've finally 100% given up on Nostr.
It's dead there unfortunately.
Sure, having the freedom to speak your mind without fear of censorship is nice, but I don't have those issues, and furthermore, who cares if nobody is listening?
Fedi is my home. Fedi is where my people are. There's no reason to be anywhere else at the moment.

I agree, too. Censorship on mastodon has never been a problem for me, and it seems like the people who regularly have problems with censorship here are not really "my people", to put it nicely.

@Sibshops @owner I'd hate to interject, but thats pretty interesting for sure. The owner of AIpub and I follow each other and I tend to post AI art from time to time, but it's not my "main thing" anymore as it used to be. But I've not been defederated from widely. I'd guess that's because it's very seldom compared to AIpub?🤔
I did get defederated this week because of it, which made me sad because I lost follow relationships...😔that was the first time in a long time though.

Oh, I'd like to hear more about it. The closest I've come across it with AI art.
For example, I have an account on aipub.social (an AI-art dedicated instance), but is de-federated from a lot of places.

@Sibshops @BeAware I did have a little problem with nannyism when I was using other people's servers. They like to swing their weight around and apply their TOS capriciously, banning accounts with little warning and no clear path back to being a user in good standing. Like anything, if it really comes down to it, don't be a serf in a fiefdom, just start your own instance. Since I've done that I've had zero issues. Feel like some of these admins treat it like a personal HOA.

@Sibshops @BeAware Yeah, not to be gross, but it was specifically an anon account I was using to share SDXL content I was generating. It was all legal content, noting cringe, but I think they don't trust the medium yet and instead of being adult about it and talking to me, they just permabanend me out of nowhere. I get they don't want to be a legal test case, but simulated content is only unlawful if it doesn't pass the moral sniff test. If it's clearly consenting adults you should be fine.
