@mischievoustomato @coolbean @fiore you'll be satisfied with le modern desktop because all the compolexity is hidden but when you are used to shit like scripting and how easy it should be to make a computer to do what you want it gets really frusturating dealing with all the crap.

It's like buying a new house which looks pretty and then you see the whole plumbing electricity and everything is utterly fucked up and massively inconvenient to work with for someone who wants to install a light bulb or whatever

Yes you can live easily and happily but if you are capable of working plumbing and the electrical system then you're going to deal with a whole lot of annoyance or pay an electrician or whatever significantly more for a worse solution
