     @KarunaX It is clearly not a reference to war crimes or politics, it's a reference to people being in personal contact with Assange and him being a dick in person.

     @GLaDTheresCake Julian Assange never harmed anyone. If the poster was referring to a person in a political position who was harmed, I can only note that if such a person was "harmed", it was by their own actions being exposed. Had they not engaged in criminal / immoral activity, there would have been nothing to expose.

     @KarunaX learn to read: "Julian Assange has personally harmed people I care deeply about". I think they definitely know the harm was real and you're just trying to protect someone in a privileged position. Even if (and I doubt it) Assange didn't do this, it's very easy for him to put actions into place to repair the break of trust people clearly have with him and have a show of good faith. Until such a day banning him from events seems very fair.

     @notclacke This person does NOT claim to know Julian personally. Even if you know that poster personally (I suspect you don't) - do you always adopt character assassinations from others as your own viewpoint? Surely you examine information carefully & then make your own decisions? I might add that even if Julian is the devil incarnate, his actions in exposing war crimes plus perfidy & venality of Govt officials is beyond reproach. Or perhaps you also think we should not know what our Govts do?

     @KarunaX You are mixing up "is exposing warcrimes good" and "is Assange a dickhead". They are unrelated issues. Please expose warcrimes, and please don't prosecute people who do. Let's go back to talking about Assange.
     
     The poster is a person I know to some peripheral extent and whom I have no reason to doubt on this, and their friends are not the only source of information.
     
     It is a well-known fact from reading anyone who knows women who have been around Assange that he is a creep. He is the founder and was a critical person for Wikileaks and he was also the "missing stairs" of Wikileaks. If you don't know that, it's because you don't want to know that.

     @notclacke "people I know (that I will not name) were harmed (won't say how) (won't say how I know) by person I have never met" is not convincing in the slightest. They can say that if they want but there is no actual reason encoded in the statement or from the reputation of the person to believe accusations like this.
