I went to school a while after Mr. Sun Jong Moon; when I attended, they were less about how citizenship is supposed to work in this country and more a laundry list of our Guilts.
@phnt@arcana@sun The Boomers are dying off, but we will be living with the consequences of their 40 years of running things for the foreseeable future. I haven't checked if it panned out, but a few years ago, 2024 was projected to be the first election where the stupid hippies weren't the majority of voters. s.gif
@p@arcana@sun >more a laundry list of our Guilts. That's what to my knowledge Germany does and probably the reason why almost every German I personally met apologizes to me for what _(s)he_ did. Considering that, I'm not surprised how some zoomers turned out in the US; People that hate their own nation and history.
@ins0mniak@arcana@phnt@sun Yeah, they noted that Gen-X was going to be skipped, boomers hanging on long enough that Gen-X never ends up as the largest bloc.
Gen-X also got passed over on other areas for the same reason. For example, in their careers where they missed promotion opportunities because boomers refused to retire.
They have to get every last nickle and dime, because they earned it, i.e. inherited a libertine economy created by the greatest generation and drove it into the ground.
@VaxxSabbath@Humpleupagus@arcana@phnt@p@ins0mniak@sun Yeah, most boomers are like that, at least the amis, british and the like. There's also a loose correlation with the religious diversion, because Catholics and Orthodox appear to be more resistent to this than protestants. In fact, the jews had it easier to poz the anglosphere, somehow.
@phnt@arcana@p@sun Agreed. It happened in the 90's as well for a lot of people. I remember a huge shift after things like the OJ trial and some of the other bonkers shit Clinton was doing.
Of course people could openly mock PC shit on national TV and not get crucified for it.
@ins0mniak@arcana@p@sun >Millennial voting is also shifting This is normal behavior. These polar opinions almost always are a pendulum. One time the left promises beautiful things, everyone will vote for them, because they are dissatisfied with the current right government. Once the left comes to power and few years and sometimes decades pass, people are dissatisfied, because the promised changes over the years never happened, or the current situation is worse than it was before. Once that happens, the pendulum starts to swing back and the cycle repeats. Another example would be religion and it's support in Europe over the centuries.
@p@arcana@phnt@sun Voting patterns are really realigning in some wild ways.
Hispanics that have lived in the US (legally) are becoming very hawkish on things like border security and voting accordingly...its a fairly large amount I can't remember the numbers off the top of my head exactly. Same with blacks, something around a %17+ increase for President Trump which is really kind of remarkable.
Millennial voting is also shifting, they tended to be fairly static for the last two decades voting generally left, however in recent years have begun to finally begin to gain wealth. That was a process that was retarded by things like 9/11, the financial crisis, covid etc.
Once that happens people become more conservative as a rule of thumb, I mean once you actually have money you don't want to be tossing it back to the government scratch-off ticket fund......I mean food stamps.
@ins0mniak@arcana@phnt@p they bombed that embassy because it secretly had a radio base in it, that's why it didn't get seriously escalated, china knew they got caught.
I'm one of those lincoln lawyer guys. You probably will never find me in my office (I'lI meet if necessary). I work from where ever and generally on my own schedule, except court appearances. I have a laptop and a cell phone, and terminals in every room of my house.
This seriously confuses most of my boomer clients... "I went by your office at 8am and you weren't there," "I don't have a scanner or email, what do you mean just drop the documents through the mail slot? I want to meet you there in person." "Do you even work?"
Yes, I work alot, you walking corpse. Usually when you're asleep, i.e. after 2pm. 😒
See, you just gotta step up, shake his hand, look him in the eye and say, "Sir, I'm here to let things go to shit." No way you don't get them job, champ.
@ins0mniak@arcana@phnt@p the main thing I got from the chinese bundling scandal was that al gore got in trouble because he was doing fundraising calls from the white house, which was considered completely illegal at the time. I remember arguing about this with people and said "if it's not illegal why does every congressman rent a separate shoebox office for fundraising" But much later, now it's completely normalized.
The irony is that I'm actually one of the most responsive lawyers. I try my best to promptly return calls and emails with the day, and I directly meet with clients.
Most modern firms stick a paralegal or secretary between the lawyer and the client. The client rarely sees or talks to counsel, and call back can take a few days if you're not the $$$$ client.
I've had a few boomer clients leave and come back once they understood the level of service provided despite my schedule and procedures.
@ins0mniak@arcana@phnt@p young people don't know how ridiculous it was yeah, stuff came out every month. Finding Whitewater docs in the White House exactly one day after the statute of limitations expired. Business enterprises where literally every person except for the Clintons went to jail
@ins0mniak@arcana@phnt@p I tend to ignore the murder accusations, I don't think they hold water, there is more than enough definitely real stuff to hold against them
@p@arcana@phnt@ins0mniak I read as much as I could about it and came away convinced it wasn't a murder but it's been so long ago that I should re-evaluate it because I don't remember anything. I'm currently reading a book about the Boston Marathon bomber, because that was a spook operation that went wrong.
@sun@ins0mniak@arcana@phnt Man, I ain't know of a guy that suicides himself in the back of the head immediately after opening his safe and "losing" some documents.
Your comment that I'm punk isn't far off. I grew up on metal and was very anti-authority as a teenager, and not without reason. I still generally dislike authority, including courts and state agencies. That's why I do a lot of defense work.
An aside.... One time a deputy from a state agency showed up at my clients business. Client calls me and makes her, a thick accented Puerto Rican woman, get on the phone with me. The conversation got heated over a legal issue (which they capitulated over two weeks later after taking it to their counsel).
> Her: Stop yelling at me.
> Me: I'm not yelling. I have a naturally loud voice and I'm being stern.
> Her: *actually yelling* I don't get paid to get yelled at.
> Me: Well I do.
> Client: Yeah we pay him to get yelled at.
It broke her. She didn't know what to say. I hate state agents do much. She made everything more difficult for everyone, even herself.
@p@admin@arcana@phnt@ins0mniak there may have been unreported rape at the original woodstock but as far as I know there was not extensive gunfire so they have that one over us lol
> Their stupid bullshit druggie love-fest git replaced forever with images of riots, fires, a literal rape tent,
There were fewer cameras around the original Woodstock, which was worse, and which required over a million dollars (in 1969 money) of cleanup. They had to use bulldozers.
@ins0mniak@arcana@phnt@p@sun The one GenX accomplishment that I’m most proud of, was shitting all over the name of their sacred ‘Woodstock’ back in ‘99. Their stupid bullshit druggie love-fest git replaced forever with images of riots, fires, a literal rape tent, and the New York State police having to be deployed to bring it under control. It was the ultimate Fuck You to them and their deranged self-delusion.
They also spent years calling you guys dumb worthless and lazy and then once you entered the workforce, we were the ones dumb, worthless and lazy.
I remember back in the 90's they never shut the fuck up about the 60's and how they changed the world. Couldn't turn on tv with out some moonbat going on about it.
@p@arcana@phnt@ins0mniak@sun GenX never had a chance to be any kind of influential bloc, because the demonic Boomer scum aborted two thirds of our generation back in the 1970s. That was the *real* holocaust.
I live in the DC area, leaving a bar that late by yourself is asking for shit. I know they didn't take anything but I'm guessing he tried to defend himself, and some punk fired a gun.
Everytime that happens they freak and scatter so I think that's what happened. I kinda know they hood that went down in and I would def not be wandering around late at night.
Not a definitive analysis or anything but that's just my gut feeling.
@sun@arcana@phnt@p@ins0mniak There were gang rapes right out in the open during Limp Bizkit sets at the ‘99 Woodstock. Somebody from Korn also said they a broad being gang raped in a hanger on the grounds. One of the best anecdotes I heard, was when that cunt Sheryl Crow was singing ‘My Favorite Mistake’, some dude in the audience took a big handful of his own feces and threw it at her and hit her with it. GLORIOUS.
@p@Humpleupagus@arcana@phnt@ins0mniak@VaxxSabbath@sun No, there is no self-determination when its detrimental or dishonorable. Accepting compromise on this shit is what got the so called "collective west" into this mess. Under a (play pretend) self-determination scenario, you suffer the consequences of your choices, in a society these are loaded into all the demos comprising it, how do you fail to understand this?
@p@Humpleupagus@arcana@phnt@ins0mniak@VaxxSabbath@sun most boomers retardation comes from having being heavily influenced from a certain message. Individualism being at the top of it. Followed by anti-familist, anti-societal, relativist, profit-centered views. These have a common origin.
Either you have confused self-determination with selfishness because you fell for the Boomers' rhetorical trick of using "I'm allowed to!" as a shield for the dishonorable, or you are deliberately employing it.
@sun@admin@arcana@ins0mniak@p@phnt It did make them look bad, but the festival was a debacle from an organizational standpoint, too. Everyone was told it'd be 30 years of Woodstock and they got Woodstock™ instead. The heat really didn't help matters, either. It does bring out the worst in people.
As I've got older, I've generally anti-porn primarily because what those women are doing to themselves and their lives is just sad, and I think it send the wrong message re sex and sexuality.
On the otherhand, I'm not clutching pearls. I'm very pro-sex. If you're in a loving relationship, get your freak on and as often as possible. Yolo.
@Humpleupagus@arcana@phnt@p@0@ins0mniak I lost a very traditional girl years ago because we were on a road trip and I expressed that I thought it was THEORETICALLY possible to have too much sex in a marriage that it caused problems.
I think two of those rifles might have been involved in shooting those black kids in the SUV. Which I'll state again killing the black kids wasn't even what caused them to take the streets back, it was only when they marched on the mayor's mansion.
The best part was the rifles he was handing out to randos out of his trunk were funded by a grant from the city. I don't remember them even bringing charges. Funny how that works.
@ins0mniak@admin@arcana@phnt@p@sun@thendrix Raz :marikek: I guess he'd find soyboys tagging walls in "his domain" and have part of his entourage pull them aside and gangbeat them. Honestly, that it took as long as it did for someone to assert control is a little sad.
Remember that clown too, was like the warlord of all CHOP?
They had their own quasy police and in the space of two weeks and one city block managed to be more corrupt and violent than every cop in the entire fucking United States lmfao
My favorite part was a security guy had to disarm the kid that got the rifle out of a cop car and was wildly firing it down the street in basically the business district. It was like a perfect storm of the DSA kids like JBGC getting to rule for a month or so... lots of rapes there too not just shootings and murder. That's what they want when they say things will be better under their heel.
@0@p@Humpleupagus@arcana@phnt@ins0mniak@VaxxSabbath@sun It is ALSO your fault. If you buy drugs, if you pay a whore, if you employ foreigners because they cost less, if, if, if... No, the customer is not "always right", you having a merchant soul does not remove you from your societal duty.
You. Fucking. Hang. Because in troublesome times, you turn out to be a burden, and so you become an instrument of the enemy against my people. In peaceful times, in a long and distant future, shaming or exile could be enough.
Yeah, they get tired of being attacked all the time. People rarely started anything with me on the street for some reason, but at some point a rando will try to break into your home as they don't know who lives there.
Yeah DC has a chinatown as well except all the Chinese moved to the suburbs in VA. You can pack here, VA is a stand your ground state so I can't blame them.
We actually had a city council member go off on asians as being "filthy and destroying black communities"
I lived in Chinatown until they tried to do a home invasion on me, which was before what we're talking about. They were killing asian women all along the light rail like a game at the time too. That's when the FD stopped responding to calls without PD escorts.
@thendrix@admin@arcana@phnt@p@ins0mniak@sun I guess the new mayor of Seattle's trying to clean things up and doing an alright job, though it's just exurbs like Sequim that are turning into RV parks instead. Either way I don't think you'll find another 2020 moment, there's a LOT of bitterness about that whole summer that's just waiting to be unleashed. That and the same people that would pull a 2020 just got their brains beat in for wondering why our establishment is so pro-Israel.
I actually had one of those type of chicks he talks about at the end quasi-stalk me in college, even after she got engaged. She would have fucked me on demand too despite her engagement.
Imm a watch it, but I think he's on to a good point.
I've always kind of felt that it's ok to mess around for a little but but one should also be considering the future and not making normalcy out of your early 20's years.
