@OutofPrintArchive @Longplay_Games I just bought one and a bunch of games for 15€, which is me finally acknowledging that it belongs in my retro library.
Time passes, the seasons change.
@Longplay_Games
Same here. 😂
I was 31 when it released.
Can't believe it's already been 18 years...
@OutofPrintArchive The Wii as a retro platform.
That's just painful, I already felt pretty old when it came out :D

I don't know if it's just me, but have you noticed how uniquitous older music is?
I've wandered my way around three countries this year, and there's loads of 1980s/1990s/2000s radio on more or less everywhere, including non-anglo countries, but a fairly sharp cut-off after that.
@OutofPrintArchive @HauntedOwlbear It upsets me a whole lot less than when music you used to get yelled at for ends up in grocery stores.
I really enjoy watching Millenials cringe when the grocery store plays mid 2000s rock.
@HauntedOwlbear @Longplay_Games
It used to upset me, but nowadays, I just look back fondly on those days and think to myself "where has the time go?".
Just a couple of days ago, I had an old man thing though, where I my mind couldn't comprehend that the NES came out in Europe in 1986.
I thought it was a couple years later for some reason, which doesn't even make sense.
Called my mom to ask me when she bought me one and she confirmed it was December of 86 for my good grades. 😅
@Longplay_Games @OutofPrintArchive It's really unnerving! Kind of like being trapped in a time bubble.
It's not like there's any lack of great new music, although I suppose streaming might have torpedoed traditional record industry relationships somewhat.
@HauntedOwlbear @OutofPrintArchive I have. There's a "hard rock" station here that insists it plays "the music of the 80s, 90s, and today"... and the newest song I've heard on there is from korn.
GenX may have tried to hold onto their youth, but Millenials are desperate :D
@Longplay_Games @OutofPrintArchive It's my unshakeable view that are in a veritable golden age of people making amazing art.
@HauntedOwlbear @OutofPrintArchive I'm always finding great new stuff to listen to.
Great new games to play, too.
