   I like it. I pretty much works like Firefox with zero tracking enabled by default. You do have to turn off enhanced fingerprinting if you want to upload photos to sites that take advantage of the html canvas; but almost everything else seems to work exactly the same.

     • Run my own e-mail
     • Removed Google services from my phone
     • Self host Cryptpad (replaces google docs), Radicale (replaced Google calendar/contacts), etc.
     • Deleted most of my big tech social media
     • Run uBlock Origin
     • Use LibreWolf (the privacy aware fork of Firefox)
     • Run local copies of Nitter, Libreddit, Searx and other services for privacy (and use Privacy Redirect in my browser to automatically redirect to them)

     Yes a lot of stuff is still going to leak out. I do need to get around to blocking trackers at the router level too. But I’ve probably cut my trackable content by at least half. It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it.

     The majority of people:

     • Pay for a VPN service

     (Because the YouTube ads convince them it ensures privacy ?)
