     @mothersmurfer @TactlessWookie @BattleDwarfGimli They don't realize how demoralizing this is either. You can talk to them as a line level worker who cares enough to politely and succinctly explain the issue, and they tell you to piss off. Totally floored me, and I immediately started looking elsewhere. Today, I would approach it differently by literally writing a proposal for solutions including a section with alternatives and why I opted to suggest the other one, and then mail the thing to the stakeholder. I figure if it's important enough to affect morale, it's important enough to go up the chain. The alternative is I'd leave anyway, might as well go for the proverbial Hail Mary.

     @BattleDwarfGimli I was fighting that same set of issues on my job 20 mins ago.
     
     I can understand how these attitudes are created. It still sucks. It makes you not want to do your best since all around you the give-a-shits are lacking.
     
     Sadly my brokeness kinda forces me to care. Only to be ignored or shut down my efforts. "We aren't going to fix that. We have other priorities." Directly from the lips of leadershit.

     @BowsacNoodle @mothersmurfer @BattleDwarfGimli I wish it was as simple as leave presently. My role is a very narrow thing. Finding similar employ, especially at my age, will be close to impossible. So I'm stuck for now.

     @TactlessWookie @mothersmurfer @BattleDwarfGimli I sort of know the feeling. I keep three resumes handy for two different skill sets + a generalized one. My best luck has always been with vendors and clients when I had to leave. Not sure if that's applicable to you (no dox)
