  @evan @pixelfed It's interesting you ask because I'm actually working on this for pixelfed.com
  Basically it would be a virtual multi tenant app but hosted on the same server and database, just abstracting the tenancy part to the virtual domains/subdomains.
  I'm doing this because I want to allow people to use their own domains for their pixelfed.com account!

  I haven't seen that multi-tenancy (or multi-homing) is currently possible in Pixelfed.
  However it would really make Pixelfed stand out.

    Takahē is a new ActivityPub server, designed for efficient use on small- to medium-size installations, and which allows you to host multiple domains on the same infrastructure. It’s currently in an alpha state, meaning things work (and it will talk ActivityPub to Mastodon and other servers), but there’s still a lot of features left to add.
