     @SuperDicq The only ethical problem I could see with training it on real CSAM is that you'd have to store the CSAM somewhere and that's a massive massive one

     @sun @SuperDicq i've always wondered this too. if its illegal to have under all conditions then how do you, you know, deal with it?
     
     i presume you would have to do a differential diagnosis; ex. have it detect if children are present, and separately if nudity is present, and sort of hope that it generalizes the idea of naked adults in to naked children.
     
     then you violate everyone's privacy by putting a black box spy device everywhere that false positives on completely benign shit like bathing suits and telemedicine. the hat trick is because these are all black boxes its only a matter of time before they co-opt them to look for persons of interest too.

     @sun @SuperDicq that last part is because the CIA et all literally can't help but clown everything at all times, which has made many diplomatic corps and vaccine doctors very angry (they coopted a vaccine program by stuffing it with glows, and used it to hunt taliban members, thus the entire communities excommunicado's the vaccine doctors.)

     @sun @SuperDicq serfs are beyond saving. i'm not convinced dragnet surveilance is needed for anything, and i am somewhat convinced "csam detection" is the usual fascist bullshit to get you to consent to AI police before the rug pull comes.

     @sun @SuperDicq Taking a guess they went to microsoft, as they have a big database of pizza, with images fingerprints and hashes of every image and you provide each image to microsoft and they tell you if they think it's pizza (access is only allowed to big business who can pay enough, as microsoft can't help but to profit off pizza).
