   One thing that's definitely in the top 3 most annoying things on #Mastodon for me is that I see a post on https://mastodon.social now on the #bluesky feed, I want to reply to it, and there's literally no way to do it… nothing works, I don't know why, no error messages, who the hell thought this is good UX 😖

     @mackuba is it consistently? I am thinking you might just have attempted to reply to a post that has already been deleted but it wasn't showing as deleted yet.🤷♂️

     However, if it's happening consistently, this is indeed very strange.

     @mackuba in my experience, they don't have their own "Authorized Fetch" on. Therefore, I don't think it reacts to delete or block requests.

     Strange, given that @Gargron implemented Authorized Fetch into Mastodon software, but isn't using it on the "official" instance.

     @BeAware Ooh, interesting, you're right! I clicked "open the original page" and it looks like the post isn't there on the source account, but it's showing up on mastodon.social in the feed. I wonder why the delete hasn't synced there…

     @mackuba it was a guess. Not fact. Since you have proof otherwise, then I'd say that's debunked and I don't know why they aren't honoring deletes. I've deleted entire accounts that still show up on .social 🤷♂️it's weird.

     @BeAware Hmm, Authorized Fetch is required to react to deletes? That doesn't sound right, I don't have it on (I think most instances don't?) and I've definitely seen some statuses in the feed disappear from before my eyes

     @mackuba for sure. However, this isn't a bug because it's consistent. Every account I've deleted and others show up on .social consistently.

     I really feel like its an intended behavior, but obviously have no real knowledge of what is going on, just guesses and speculation based on my experiences.

     @BeAware I'm guessing it's much more likely for things to get buggy on a 200k user instance than it is on a personal one…
