     @fakertarians Even from a consistent right-libertarian perspective, a libertarian *should* be to the left of Democrats on abortions, trans rights and immigration (just like from that same perspective, libertarians should be to the right of Republicans on gun rights and taxes). These "libertarians" are mad at him specifically for libertarian positions.

     @thomasjwebb @fakertarians it also matters on what one means by left and right. Libertarians like chase are not in favor of the big government programs for government funding of medical care, including abortions and transitions. 21st century Democrats are more restrictive on immigration than 20th century Republicans in the general sense, and Libertarians are certainly opposed to their government programs regarding special classes of immigrants, preferable treatment etc.

     Similarly I'm starting to see some Republicans supporting big government favoritism on the "right to keep and bear arms" being promoted as that the government should pay for guns and ammo for citizens, which Libertarians are defiantly against, or that they shouldn't be taxed, of which reasonable members of my Party may disagree as to if any tax being removed for any reason is preferable (that is what our platform says) or whether tax favoritism is always wrong.

     @robin1 I'm not sure if you can see this on Diaspora* since it was a reply to a re-toot and of an ActivityPub post from @fakertarians but This comment from @thomasjwebb is exactly what I was speaking of earlier.
