Playing the stupid browser game with my Pinephone. I started out using firefox-esr and it was fine until they shipped a broken binary on update and I was locked out of my logins & passwords, so I switched to qutebrowser. It was actually really good, I love that program, even with its quirks.

But now that I have a fresh install of PMOS, the qutebrowser binary is slows as hell, and has crashed on me 4 times tonight include crashing phosh once (had to go into tty and use pkill to reset it)

So back to Firefox, it's much faster that qutebrowser but it's usually the other way around. These fucking arm64 ports are killing me mang...

And yes I tried angelfish, but it looks like shit on phosh and the UI is kind of broken.

Act retarded. I have clients who don't have a printer and can barely use email. They get by. You can do it. Just repeat "I'm not an internet guy" when ever they ask you to use tech.

I literally can't even function without a modern browser, I would never talk to you guys, my landlord only allows rent payments online, or I have to make an appointment with their office to come and pay with a money order (they got rid of the dropbox). My job does all the sceduling online, they made the entire world connected to that shit. I go to a random ass gas station and they ask me if I have their "app". It's getting ridiculous.

I don't mind using it on a PC (I'd rather use brave or ungoogled), but it's kind of ram hungry because it sandboxes each tab into it's own process.

Honestly I think it was a mistake for PostmarketOS to use Alpine Linux as their base. Because Alpine is a server distro, and they purposely have shit removed because of Linux autism, so I'm limited to three browser choices and Firefox is the best I guess.

Not not "browser games" but I feel like the browser ports on PostmarketOS play fucking games with me because they either work great or are buggy nightmares and they go back and forth no matter what I'm using.

Tender of payment is all the is legally required. Offer to pay. If they refuse, the law treats it as if you paid. So if that want an appointment, just mail a check, priority, which has tracking, but doesn't require signature.

It's becoming increasingly more difficult to enforce previously set precedence. If a person is renting, they generally assume the person is unable to engage in lawfare.

This is a good suggestion. Depending on what a person is running, it can require some manual maintenance though. A person with a little free time could probably automate it the maintenance.

99% of the time, I use priority. People often think certified is better because it requires signature, but you have to add tracking separately, which some people miss, and a document or instrument is not considered servered or delivered unless actually recieved when signature is required, unless the party who mails it can prove that the receiving party knew the content of the envelope and refused to accept it. Priority avoids this, but has tracking, so you have a bit more than your word re mailing.

The US postal service rarely works as intended. Signature service is a hassle that's rarely worth the up-charge.

I've seen some real lazy postmen. I'm a solo, so I'm not always in. I've seen them walk up to my door and leave a tag without trying to open it because they assume I'm gone. Tbh I don't really care. If you send me something with signature required, it's probably not something important if I'm not expecting it. If I haven't received an email "were sending the check usps express, here's the tracking," I'm not going out of my way to figure out what it is or to run to the post office up get it. If it's important, they'll email or call.

I don't see how it will be better than the firefox-esr mobile port. This port is custom configured for mobile screen and touchscreen stuff. Its fine I really want to go back to qutebrowser, but it's just too buggy right now, it fking frustrating. I don't mind doing some mid level nitty gritty shit for Linux, but I have my limits. I don't have the patience for it like I used to. That's why I love PMOS, everything basically works out of the box, this is the only problem really.

@realman543 @amerika @gnarley_boot@norwoodzero.netI own a apartment 10 minutes from beach. A nice 3 story apartment. This is my mother and her sisters and brothers inheritance but they all say we are going to inherit it my cousins and me. It's worth a lot of money and with time it will be worth 10x more. @realman543 @amerika @gnarley_boot I am very lucky I live a place I can go swimming every day and don't work. This place seems like heaven. Of all the cities in whole of Europe I think it's the sweetest village. Even including Italian ocean side villages. It's truly a special place. Just came from a swim at 9.30 AM now listening to blues. My house overlooks the sea

@gnarley_boot Bloat works without JS, and I think FSE can work with all sorts of shit including ssh. You can do everything you need to bank either over a land line or in person, make an appointment at the office. I can't speak for jobs, but every job I've ever had has allowed the use of paper to make scheduling changes, etc.

      >I go to a random ass gas station and they ask me if I have their "app". It's getting ridiculous.
Which is why when they ask me those kinds of retarded questions I can happily say I don't have a phone, pay, and watch the retards look at me sideways on the way out the door.

I lived next door to a K9 officer when I was a kid. He had a German Shepard that was too aggressive to work in a unit. Back in those days, the mail boxes were next to the front doors of the houses. One day, that dog jumped through the bedroom window (through the glass) next to the front door to attack the mailman. The mailman got away though.
