@Hoss All the gold is gone. The silver is almost gone. The strategic oil reserve is nearly depleted. Whites aren't reproducing. The dollar is held afloat by our hopes and dreams.

If anyone wonders why I'm not motivated at work, this is why.

@Dudebro @vic @Hoss I hope this happens. Instead of psychotic weasel sociopath ruling class, we can get warlord gigachad security force mad max futurism.

There's no realistic way to augment the security and staff with measures that will enforce their compliance. They just think it's possible because they're used to throwing billions of dollars at the most retarded ideas imaginable thinking they can somehow make them viable.

@Hoss I remember an article about this. Billionaires want to outfit their security people with collars that can't be removed and which can be activated to kill them in an instant should the "need" arise.

Meanwhile Musk, to his credit (despite his many flaws), basically said the smart move is to treat security like family and build trust instead of being a psychopath treating them like animals to be put down at any moment.

@Hoss They'll get to live a few more months/years in solitude if they can defend themselves, hoping that someone else rebuilds the economy so they can start leeching again.

That's assuming the head of security doesn't just order his boys to light 'em up the moment he sees the Rolls Royces approaching the gate.

Laughing about how the house is on fire isn't nearly as fun as I'd thought it'd be considering the other occupants don't even seem to feel the heat of the encroaching flames.

@gentoobro @Dudebro @n3f_X @BowsacNoodle @Hoss This is the sort of thing that will prevent "fully autonomous killchain" like the psychopaths really want. There will always have to be an operator, likely a continent or two away and managing several of these things at once, to tell the robot, "Yep, that's the guy, drop him"

I'm rooting for the head of security at Mark Zuckerberg's Hawaiian apocalypse compound to declare himself the new lord of that island. Lizard man is going to have to show up with an army of his own if he wants to stay in charge post-SHTF.

@vic @Dudebro @n3f_X @BowsacNoodle @Hoss So hack it. Or jam it. Wear a mask that looks like rubble and is lined with space blankets. Auto-aiming guns are cool and all, but not some sort of unbeatable menace. If there's a human in the loop then that loop can be broken. If there's not, then the computer can be fooled.

Better than "AI facial recognition" nonsense would be a turret with a thermal camera that just puts one .50bmg into anything appropriately warm that moves and is in the field of vision. Fewer false positives.
