     You'd need her signature at house is financed. A lender will either require that on the loan or on a quit claim. Credit cards don't typically require that. You just have to charge for "marital puposes" and before separation. Debt is presumed to be for marital purposes. Just don't use it at the stri club.

     I'm in California. Spousal support is rare, and men actually fare well in divorces, including custody, relatively speaking.
     
     I say relatively, because as a classmate of mine who has a family law practice once told me "family court is for losers, and it's trashy to put your personal life before the court." She also told me "I know what I do is shit, but I get paid." She kinda snakey. I keep a reasonable distance. Not my style tbh. I can't do it.
