     Gab is also a "free speech" platform, so is X and every other out of the 100s. None of them are owner-operated.
     
     Only the Fediverse is owner-operated, and when you bring millions of ignoramus here you will kill the network.
     
     Again - you are here because there are hundreds of groups of people do what you do on all of the 100s of networks, only much better. You would not have any "followers" on any of the 100s of networks.
     
     I have no idea why you take this personally - maybe for lack of confidence. I hate all massive nodes equally, I do not differentiate and I attack anyone who protect them.
     
     I cannot imagine you have a job, because every viable business will filter who they will allow to enter and work there. Only NAS invites those who do not deserve to breath let alone speak.

     I didn't have any beef with him, whatsoever, until he hit me with this unprompted screed in response to one of my "Night Crew" cards.

     I suggested he just block me.

     No, he tells me he's "going on the attack" or whatever.

     I didn't do anything to precipitate this exchange, but I'm probably going to fuck with him for awhile now

     I invite many individuals to my timeline, and a lot of those are hosted by NAS. But none of those individuals ever mentioned anything about "free-speech".
     
     Your "free-speech" platform is only harboring individuals who above the STANDARDS of social interaction. NAS is not only providing them with a platform, NAS is providing them with a purpose and an excuse.
     
     You probably see this, but you chose to ignore it, you probably convinced yourself that its a worthy cause.
     
     What you do is good for something, indeed. It evolves the Fediverse by evidencing that setting the bar to zero results in this:

     What's happening to the US Southern border is the equivalent to what is happening to the Fediverse. It's wide open to anyone to walk right through it, and most of those who do come with the intention of abuse.
     
     You can put this in any perspective you like, it changes nothing. Lowering all expectations, all qualification, all standards in behavior to zero is capitulation. This zero-expectation is what NAS is championing, while posturing as a "free-speech champion".
     
     NAS is drowning in debt that goes far beyond the bills the morons who set the policy need to pay. I am not triggered, I am amazed by your inverted sense of purpose.
     
     Only time will tell how this ends.
