@binarydigit I can understand the value of it for sharing purposes, especially if the domain itself is short too.
Can you do something with an omg.lol address?

@binarydigit I would imagine something longer and more descriptive for jobs would be better.
I was thinking more for going to a shop, and sharing it with being asked “would you like the receipt sent to your email” lol
@binarydigit I do! It's very easy to do with Fastmail, highly recommend.
@binarydigit
I personally use george@chachanidze.com for that kinda stuff, but that requires a surname unique enough that your only competition for the domain is your own father!
@andycarolan
@binarydigit I picked up a rad.dad email address last year. 😎
@binarydigit I do. Unfortunately, I can't recommend getting a .email domain despite how suitable they would seem. Too many apps/services don't recognize it as a valid TLD. The worst example of this was when my cell phone provider changed their auth page validation so that I couldn't log in with my .email address that previously worked! That was a huge pain to sort out, let me tell you.
@binarydigit yep, that’s basically all we use our domain for. It’s a great idea!
@binarydigit Just legally change your name to BinaryDigit? /s
@binarydigit
I don't use my domain just for email, but even if I did, it would be totally worth it with Fastmail. Once you've got it configured, you can receive emails sent to (absolutely.anything)@(whatever.you.like).your.domain and then set up filters to label and organise incoming emails.
Sign up for newsletters with newsletters@your.domain, have "throwaway" emails like bob@spam.your.domain... The possibilities are endless!
