   if taiwan plunges the us into a third world war, this time we better be adding taiwan as a us territory at the very least this is mostly just a selfish desire to be able to fly there without needing a us passport
   more realistically it'd be more likely that hawaii gets guns before that happens but i still dunno about that lmoa

     @nik basically hawaii just refused to issue any concealed carry permits to basically just defacto ban guns, they got overruled by the supreme court so they started to issue some but just read this page and you can get a sense of how locked-down things still are... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Hawaii
     
     so realistically carrying a loaded gun in hawaii is still pretty much impossible and i assume never happens unless you're an active duty gun cop or army training exercise. pretty sure it's by far the most restrictive us state about guns

     @nik by "hawaii gets guns" i mean hawaii actually having firearms in practice and not just in name only but hawaii has a lotttt of other problems that are probably more important than just nogun
