     "everyone knows" things that are false and it's been like that for the entirety of human history. For a long time "everyone knew" that witches caused crop failures, and for awhile "everyone knew" that the sun orbited the earth, or that planets orbited the sun in perfect circles. Or that magnets and light are two different things. Or that horoscopes are how to predict the future. Or that homeopathy works.

     No you don't. Wuhan doing gof research doesn't mean that the virus came from the wuhan bsl lab.
