     I don't trust anyone who sneers at service industry employment because those workers are disproportionately women and minorities, which is also why those jobs tend to pay poorly.

     But there's nothing wrong with someone working at a fast food place and having a comfortable lifestyle and it's only your internalized racism, misogyny, and classism that makes you think otherwise.

     Everyone deserves to have nice things.

     Like, okay, an MD should probably make more than a fast food worker, but I would point out they're also getting screwed by the executives and shareholders of the insurance company that's supposed to be paying their bills. We can do a lot better by everyone but only if we stop pretending the status quo is "fair."

     @goatsarah @gwynnion I’ve the same idea with pets. Look at how people treat pets because that how they treat human beings when there’s no consequences for them, how they are capable of empathy
