    I want to change my pedals for better ones, but they're stuck. I've tried all sorts, including use of a strong person, heat, and WD40. They've only been on the bike for a couple o months, and i greased them when i put them on, so I don't know why they're so stuck. Any novel suggestions short of a grinder?#BikeTooter

      - it’s probably the one with the anti-clockwise thread? (NOT ‘righty- tighty, loosely- lefty)

      @CloudyMrs I've had good luck using toe straps or hook&loop to fix the other crank arm to the chain stays so that I can get my full weight on the pedal wrench without having to hold the other crank in place.

      @CloudyMrs

      How much heat have you tried? Heat the area around the threads with some kind of propane burner...always works

      @ThomM yip. And jumped on it after hitting it with a hammer. The pipe, not the person. 🤣

      @CloudyMrs have you added a 3' pipe to the tool for added leverage by the strong person? Sometimes that helps get the extra oomph needed. Had to do this with lug nuts at the garage occasionally.

      @CartyBoston I fear that's going to be the only solution here too.

      @CloudyMrs i can't imagine anything else, but that you pull in the wrong direction. With me it was always that, because the threading on the pedals is weird so that they tighten in the direction of the friction when pedaling. If the pedal is broken and had a lot of friction, then it might be very tight. This picture shows how i try to remember it: https://www.bikeexchange.com.au/blog/removing-bike-pedals-workshop-help
