     You can do a lot of magic with a DSLR like IR photography. I should rip the filter off my Sigma SD15 and take some pics.

     it sucks at planetary photograph, but decent at deep sky objects.
     just buy yourself a regular telescope and you can watch the Jovian moons to confirm that planets are real and everything works like advertised.

     But, you can see the Andromeda Galaxy and the Orion Nebula with your naked eyes

     It's a very unique DSLR/Mirrorless camera that goes for $$$ used because certain people love them. I have a SD15 because it was cheap but the resolution sucks.
