     @stroughtonsmith Feels somewhat similar to the iPhone 15 Pro models containing cameras that could film spatial video prior to the release of AVP.

     @Sumocat @stroughtonsmith I think that’s probably accurate. But it feels like a shift in marketing as well. Have some hardware features released andready to go and in devices before software/future hardware is ready to take advantabge of it. But I’m just guessing.

     @WarnerCrocker @stroughtonsmith Seems like a performance leveling decision to me. Neural Engine in A17 Pro supports 35 TOPS vs. M4 at 38 TOPS.

     @WarnerCrocker @Sumocat @stroughtonsmith now we wait to see if they will scale the neural cores across higher end Mac architectures or make us wait a year or more until M5+ for that obvious upsell opportunity.

     @WarnerCrocker @stroughtonsmith That is how Apple operates. Any new feature shown at the WWDC keynote will run on existing hardware. Features that require new hardware aren’t mentioned until the hardware is announced.
