Well, I wish I could say I was anything but disappointed this morning, but honestly, I would only have been surprised by a Harris win. Her main obstacle was the misogyny ingrained in our society, followed by racism, then Trump. She campaigned hard against the third, while his campaign rode hard on the first two, and it worked. Again. Disappointing. Not surprising.

No, for real, I do a restart (or off/on for Watch) on my 3 devices after updating, and if I forget, I’ll usually notice some weirdness like battery drain.

Monday morning, after feeding the cats, my wife heard something tumble down the lower stairs. She looked down to see our boy Homer lying at the bottom, appearing as if he was grappling with a mouse, then nothing. I raced down from upstairs to find her crying, holding him in her arms. I could see in his eye before I took him, he was gone.

Homer was 16, slowing down and sleeping more, had all his teeth removed, but his sudden passing was still a shock. The vet said it was likely neurological. We’ve lost three cats before, but Homer was the first we did not have put down. It was truly his time to go, and we miss him.

Good time to remind everyone that Android was introduced by a consortium named the Open Handset Alliance to give vendors and carriers control over their phone software. Samsung was a founding member. User control was never part of their plan.

@WarnerCrocker I’m not mad that they used AI to generate that image; I’m mad that they were too lazy and/or dumb to review it before publishing. Takes a minute to generate a new one. No need to stick with the image that shows whatever the f*** they’re doing with those lightsabers.

Ok, Dems. Biden is stepping down, Harris is stepping up. Time to raise up the candidate who we trusted to step in as President, who already served briefly as President, or give up.

@WarnerCrocker Dems have a Pres overseeing a thriving economy and a VP who is stepping up while he’s sick (and once assumed the top job for an hour), ready to build on his policies. Instead of dumping Biden/Harris, they double down on Harris and raise her visibility. She should be campaigning hard with a team of potential new VPs to assure everyone there’s a plan for when Biden steps down next year (sorry, “if”). Only reason to start fresh is to dump Harris.
