I'm more use to websites being called "Platforms" ... which annoys me to no end. It's a very large website, yes, but it's still just a website. People call fucking Netflix a "platform." 🙃
Websites are often called "apps" when there are apps for them. ("People in this app...". :picardfacepalm: So damn cumbersome to explain such people why that's a fractal misconception.)
I've never even heard of Wattpad. Looking at the page:
Home to 97 million people¹ who spend over 26 billion minutes a month engaged in original stories, Wattpad has democratized storytelling for a new generation of diverse Gen Z writers and their fans
...so ... it's a big slash fiction/porn story site? :blobcatupsidedown:
@domodak@djsumdog >Wattpad My strongest memory of that is seeing some guy spamming tenor gifs and someone saying "why is tenor always such cancer", and I didn't really understand. Then it got integrated into dicksore and I understood within the hour.
@domodak@djsumdog I've taken to using "service" extensively to refer to things that may or may not be accessed via the web. I hadn't actually noticed it was in this image until I checked just now.
