    @thomasfuchs

    For anyone who doesn't have the context, the rector is an experienced surgeon and was providing medical aid under the Israeli onslaught.

    What Germany and others are afraid of is his testimony.

    The truth.

      @thomasfuchs He was not banned from entering EU "because he was to speak at the French senate", but because of a congress in Germany last month. But does it mean he was not aware of this ban, meaning he was not informed of it ? Kind of weird.

      @denis @thomasfuchs The person quoted by @vonneudeck isn’t Ghassan Abu Sitta but his uncle Salman Abu Sitta. “The furor related to a January blog post in which Salman Abu Sitta wrote that he ‘could have been one of those who broke through the fence’ if he were younger and still lived ‘in the concentration camp called the Gaza Strip.’”

        Germany bars doctor who worked in Gaza, shuts down Palestinian conference
        Ghassan Abu Sitta, who worked in Gaza City last year, said he was questioned at Berlin’s airport before being told he was not allowed to enter the country.

      @vonneudeck @thomasfuchs

      There are no Google results for the combination of Ghassan Abu Sitta and Kim Robin Stoller — are you sure this is correct?

      @denis @thomasfuchs you need to research in German. Kim Robin Stoller collected a lot of I remember correctly. For a rough thing you’ll find some traces in newspapers.

      @vonneudeck @thomasfuchs Where did you find this information?

      I did research on his background but couldn’t find anything that would suggest he is pro-Hamas.

      @rzeta0 @thomasfuchs I just wonder what horse has Germany in this race, so to speak. Why is it doing Israel’s bidding? Reparations for WWII? Guilt?
