     @justnormalkorean There's two ways to look at this type of stuff... the first is "why do the grifters flock to Catholicism" and the second is "if the Catholic Church can thrive in spite of people like this and what happens in the Vatican, surely there's some divine intervention at work". Tongue in cheek, but at least half true IMO.
