     @flobeamer1922 They did change the support schedule around for regular LTSC (which was only five years to begin with), but I don't know if they did for IoT (ten years as you mentioned). Either way, if it's at least on par with an Ubuntu LTS support cycle wise, that's fine with me.

     @allison I'd consider switching if it's like older versions of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC; five years of mainstream support followed by five years of extended support.

     Does LTSC remove all the ads in the start menu/lock screen by default or do you have to setup group policies on a domain? Does it require being connected to a domain controller?

     @djsumdog @flobeamer1922 I don't know for Windows 11, but for Windows 10 it trims out a lot of the fat including Cortana (or is it Copilot now?) so my gut answer would be yes

     @djsumdog @allison @flobeamer1922 no clue about ads, but you don't have to be AD joined, and if it is, you can still have local users that don't rely on authentication to the DC
