as a small c conservative who is trying to make his peace with the system, he is also a humanist and doesn't like to see unnecessary death, but fails to grasp the system he is dealing with ( hence the problem making peace )
The system doesn't care how many people in a proxy die, their job is to keep Russia busy
@sickburnbro >waaa we have no power These are the people who cheered when Donbass markets were shelled, said buying food is a revokable privilege for "orks"
@Eleutheria2@sickburnbro@epictittus When these "people" finally get what is coming to them (a gunshot to the brainstem or a slit throat and a shallow trench) they cry and beg and scream like little girls before they die.
@TrevorGoodchild@Eleutheria2@epictittus it's going to be interesting, because NATO is going to be put in a really hard place, because they wanted a war on the cheap, but now they will get pulled in more or will cut and run and look very bad.
@TrevorGoodchild@sickburnbro@epictittus Russia: *waits until April to target civilian power infrastructure* GAEto in September: FUCK YOUR GAS LINE NIGGER WHATCHU GON DO BOUT IT BTW THAT WAS TOTALLY RUSSIA!
@sickburnbro@Eleutheria2@epictittus It's a real zugzwang position for GAETO because they know that if they cut and run it's Afghanistan 2.0 as Russia just rapidly steamrolls everything . . . but they simply can't stop what is coming regardless (not enough productive capacity, inferior artillery)
So they continue to bleed money and materiel and the Ukies just continue to bleed
@sickburnbro@TrevorGoodchild@Eleutheria2@epictittus Unrelated or maybe not, L3 Harris (defense contractor) laid off engineers yesterday in Texas. Maybe standard business issues, but weird timing given all the grift and gibs thrown at the MIC.
@TrevorGoodchild@sickburnbro@Eleutheria2@epictittus Between Ukraine, Gaza and the Red Sea, Zog is really getting its shit pushed in around the world. Not too long ago the idea that BurgerLand was in terminal decline was confined to just a few niche corners of the internet. Now everyone sees it.
For over two decades I was a rabid Russia hater. The Georgia war really started to give me first doubts.... because I know we encouraged Saakashvili to shell a barracks in exchange for huge funds and support (same as ukraine). When he did it however, we on purpose withdrew all support of Georgia, hoping that they would holocaust Georgians and give us a propaganda victory. The Georgian Holohoax was supposed to force Medvedev (it was timed so he would be in office) into a treaty of versailles, and weimar Russia situation. They absolutely refused to genocide, and no one in Washington could figure out why.
I have become a huge Russiaboo (@VaxxSabbath can confirm) seeing this shit, how they behaved in the war on terror (they let us fly bombers and wounded over their territory), how they behaved in Syria and beyond... and finally watching this Ukraine war Ive seen them: 1. refusing to act until wmd's were involved 2. willing to talk at every step 3. inviting our inspectors (like in syria) 4. avoiding civilian casualties (waiting for spring to turn off the power) 5. not retaliating for brits sinking their flagship, or destroying infrastructure, despite being able to 6. not killing western leaders (or ukrainian ones) having fucking conferences in kiev on how to kill russians
They have shown remarkable levels of restraint in this war, and although I disagree (in war, restraint is a sin) the patience is interesting to see.
