     @lispi314 Dijkstra had a fairly clear sight, as he learned such from this own experience - BASIC allows you do to certain very specific complicated things easily, but otherwise the language is terrible and teaches you how to program wrong.

     @Suiseiseki @ongo Fairly shortsighted, I think.
     
     Perhaps it was more difficult to learn of new things at the time, given the abysmal state of information networks.

     @kirby Make your own version of stb. It will raise your C skill level substantially.

     Write a lexer and macro preprocessor for C. Then you'll properly understand how macros work.
