     @AccordionBruce oh its definitely not intentional, like its got a lot of memphis group zing to it, its just a designer mistake of having too much fun with geometric patterns in a circle and an 80s level of care about symbolism

     Might be inspired by Krazy Kat and George Herriman’s interest in Navajo art if one wanted to reach for meaning in surrealist history?

     #KrazyKat comic from 1918 where the Black Kat has their tail curled to “pass” as a pig

     Tail uncurls in the rain, they’re found out, and white Ignatz mouse (as usual) hits Krazy with a brick 🧱

     Interesting because Herriman was Black Creole from #NewOrleans who passed for white and would have known all about hair straighteners
