   What the bloody hell is with all the accounts that have only anime cartoons on it?
   
   I don't understand the fascination with these cartoons.

     @ArmchairEconomist01 I also came from Gab about a month ago and had the same reaction. Now I get it, and like it. Anime is great for a number of reasons (counter-signalling, gatekeeping, subculture, rejection of feminism, White Identitarianism, etc) . In a way it is a sane response to an insane world. Just go with it. I enjoy it now. It's cozy.

     As soon as the west will be capable of creating art again, people will be happy to return. But as of now, they outright refuse to offer any art, that represents the values people believe in.

     Therefore, the only way to express these values is to signal them with Anime.

     Took me a while to understand why it's an effective gatekeeping method for people who wouldn't get along anyway.
     
     Think about it, people who bitch about anime cannot chill, they will always try to bring other people down over any stupid thing.
     
     It reminds me of ohmbug, they were really cool, but couldn't handle a few cartoons and sperged out, pedo jacketing a ton of people.
     
     I understand why Graf beheads all those who insult anime.

     Also, I am sure, you have noticed, that I indeed do not use an anime PFP at the moment.

     But Luke Skywalker as part of star wars is significant, since Death of Star Wars on 31st of october 2012 was the day the last true western entertainment franchise was sent to rot. And since then, there was a flash of Marvel and nothing.... There is not a single image the west can hold to for inspiration.

     So, enjoy the beauty of anime.
