@james If money is really not an issue, here are two expensive but good options:
Most non-native colleagues who speak German really well seem to have taken in-person Goethe-Institut classes in their home country. They are available in nearly all countries except like North Korea or something.
Some of my colleagues have taken Berlitz classes in Germany. I see online classes on their website, including 1 on 1, that would be very effective: https://www.berlitz.com/en-de/languages/german

@econads @james Maybe it varies a lot? The colleague who most recently told me about taking Berlitz drove to Frankfurt (70 minutes) for it for a week because she said the one in Heidelberg (10-20 minutes away) was not that good. She was very happy with the Frankfurt one.

I did not rate Berlitz at all. Their certifications bare no relation to the standard A1/A2/B... levels so you can't really use them for official stuff, and the teacher seemed to be under a lot of pressure to advertise Berlitz to us in the lessons, maybe to get us to take the next course? We did not.
