     @Moon Moon you a real one, And honestly? I do hope we one day meet each other alongside others here on this instance. Without this Instance idk if I could even gut joining the Fediverse. I only been here for about close to 2 years now with dips in activity and all that. But Moon, You a real one and I'm here to stay even when I make my own instance. This place is my personal space and it's a space that I'm the most free in without being judged.

     @FrailLeaf @Moon None of that would've been an issue if he didn't use the meme software. Gameliberty is pretty much as old as SPC's current iteration, yet I don't hear any DB rot complains from its users or admins. Maybe having just two fuckhueg tables and storing gigabytes of JSON bloat in them without any changes, then running dozens of queries to get, say, like count, wasn't the brightest idea, just saying.

     @mint @FrailLeaf SPC's performance woes have several causes, every time we fixed one another manifested and so far none of them has been traced to using json. the database is large because the objects are stored intact plus all the indices but the latest cause for us was traffic as the result of regular operation. we have found a couple queries that have really bad performance and they'll be fixed in an upcoming develop release eventually.

     @mint @FrailLeaf The biggest recent change we made was upgrading from Postgres 13 to 16, I cannot say this with 100% assuredness but now database across the board consumes substantially more resources. I have done all the things you need to do after you upgrade the db.
