Gameliberty is pretty much as old as SPC's current iteration, yet I don't hear any DB rot complains from its users or admins. Maybe having just two fuckhueg tables and storing gigabytes of JSON bloat in them without any changes, then running dozens of queries to get, say, like count, wasn't the brightest idea, just saying.
