It's so bloody depressing when you do a perfectly good interview but hear nothing back AT ALL and 2 months later they are still advertising the job.

Antiqueight (antiqueight@mastodon.ie)'s status on Tuesday, 26-Mar-2024 00:45:12 JST Antiqueight @davey_cakes I mean, fine, I am not who they want for whatever reason - they are entitled. But news talking about how women engineers are in demand while looking for work and seeing the same job still advertised months after interviewing is.... disheartening.

Could have been simple admin error that you heard nothing (IT issues, HR forgot to send an email, someone forgot to push a button). May be that don’t contact unsuccessful application, but it may also be that your job offer is stuck in someone’s outbox and they’re confused why you didn’t accept. 🤞

Davey (davey_cakes@mastodon.ie)'s status on Tuesday, 26-Mar-2024 01:14:57 JST Davey @Antiqueight the fact that they've told you nothing is maybe a sign that they don't value people appropriately anyway.
But tech interviewing is so dysfunctional, it would depress you, and I know the state of it stops a lot of good people from leaving where they are.
