It’s fascinating how any time you criticize some big tech company for doing shitty things that are likely illegal there’s at least one incessant apologist white knight on here that rides to the rescue of that company with a barrage of logical fallacies, bad faith arguments and general replyguyisms.

@thomasfuchs There's always gonna be people who latch onto a brand as an identity. You criticize the brand, you're criticizing THEM. Doesn't leave a lot of room for healthy dialogue and growth.
But then again, this is true of political parties, politicians, religions, artists, athletes, countries, states, towns, fuckin... Neighborhoods, streets, BUILDINGS.
Some people are desperate to define themselves by something other than themselves.
