   Yesterday I activated #ActivityPub on my #Threads account: @darnell@threads.net

   Reading the official announcement by #Meta…

   👉🏾 Threads has entered the #fediverse https://engineering.fb.com/2024/03/21/networking-traffic/threads-has-entered-the-fediverse/

   …I noticed that they gave shoutouts to #Mastodon & #WordPress (#Tumblr was strangely ignored) as well as credited #Misskey for their quote implementation (even #Firefish received an honorable mention).

   I do wonder how many Threads users have activated ActivityPub on their account‽

     @nunesdennis @tchambers @darnell@threads.net Yeah, I suspect that is why Meta did not mention Tumblr.

     However, I am looking forward to #Goblin eventually launching in the Fediverse (it is being built by @javi, a former Tumblr employee).

     So far looks like a rebranded Firefish fork - which was what I loved about FireFish last year, was how similar it is to Tumblr.
     But will it integrate the Tumblr feed algo that they open sourced? What else, other than a few UI shifts to make it feel more Tumblr-like, will differentiate Goblin from they already maintained Misskey forks?
