@Robert_R_Freitag_II @ldpm @gwensnyder The article didn't invent the term manosphere, the name is in the public zeitgeist, and when you say it people understand what you're referring to. It just happens to also be absolutely replete with misogyny and far-right radicalization, not definitionally, mind you, but practically it is so full of it that it is only controversial to call it misogynistic if you're trying to sweep the misogyny under the rug.

Could you clarify here? Are you saying that all conventionally masculine cisgender males are actual Nazis or at the very least fellow travelers?
Because it seems that permanently alienating at least 50% of the 90% of the population that are heteronormative is not an election-winning strategy.

@Robert_R_Freitag_II @gwensnyder this doesn't feel like a comment made in good faith, but if it was, can you please point to the claim either in the post or the linked article that heteronormativity was the issue? The article specifically calls these content creators out for drawing people in with widely applicable content on things like health and sports and then introducing misogyny and antisemitism. Nobody is claiming the sports content is the problem

People can have opinions (especially based on demonstrable fact) on that group, like thinking they're misogynistic and others can be offended in response to that opinion, what the fuck is the problem?
