There's this very annoying tendency among some (primarily reddit-based) game-specific communities to refuse to answer questions about non-Steam versions of the games in question on the assumption that the inquirer is using a pirate version.
My dudes, it is available DRM-free on Humble and GOG, just accept that some people are going to use those versions rather than telling them to buy it on Steam once the concept has been explained to you.

Like c’mon I don’t need a five hundred page treatise with social commentary and platform shaming just to find the one sentence that jogs my memory on how to breed a gold chocobo

@lunarloony @jessica I switched to exclusively using the term "player" in articles, documentation and even marketing copy about three years ago, and it's been very well received by my clients.
