Is there a harmless explanation for why I'd get a notice here on Jorts, that I edited a post over on Treehouse, when I certainly didn't and the edit notice in the post only shows something I did on September 11th, 2023? I don't see the content having changed or anything, but I literally just got the notification here, now. Ghost in the machine? Or am I compromised?
(and fwiw, yes, I do follow that account, makes it easier to find and retoot the longer analysis I post there, to my audience here)

@AnarchoNinaWrites probably because jorts was not able to see or understand edits prior to the massive recent update
something likely caused jorts to fetch that post (some interaction? someone on jorts liking the post? could be anything) and, in the process, notice the edit

Looks like this but as you can see if you click on the edit notice, the post says it was edited 1 time, on September 11th, 2023:

@AnarchoNinaWrites the funny website behavior was prior to the update jorts literally did not know posts could be edited, so if someone posted something and then immediately edited it, we'd never see the edit, only the V1, so we'd be replying to outdated versions of posts lmao
